
COURSE DESCRIPTION AND EQUIPMENT
Course Description:
Basic to intermediate level course focused on the science of precision shooting, firearm manipulation and body positioning, as well as moving and shooting techniques for the purposes of effectively defending yourself while employing a handgun.

Setting up the operator: pistol and gear placement on the body

Biomechanically efficient body positioning

Grip and stance

Sight alignment / sight picture

Precision & stress sight picture work

Trigger finger placement, control and timing

Drawing from the holster

Firing from concealment and cover

Speed and administrative reloading techniques

Malfunction clearing

Manipulating and running the gun on the move

Firing from positions associated with defensive handgun engagements

Multiple target engagement work

Both paper and steel plate targets are utilized
